Vappu Rossi’s exhibition consists of lightbox drawings and animation. The lightbox combines drawing and light.

Vappu Rossi is a Helsinki-based visual and media artist. She has distinguished herself as a developer of contemporary drawing and as a creator of projects combining different disciplines and art forms. Rossi was nominated for the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts Visual Arts Prize 2022. Her works can be found in several important Finnish collections.

Rossi has held 23 solo exhibitions and participated in over 70 group exhibitions, festivals and invitational exhibitions. Her most internationally renowned work includes business drawing projects and media works that have been shown in festivals around the world since the late 1990s. Rossi graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts with a Master of Arts degree in 2008. She has worked as a drawing master at the legendary Drawing Hall at the University of Helsinki since 2018.
