Pidot

Mikko Ängeslevä paints a surrealist vision of everyday life, people, and human existence. His painterly approach combines different artistic styles into rich and compelling wholes. In many of the works, reduction and an almost realist painting style intertwine in an intriguing way. Pidot (The Feast) is Ängeslevä’s first exhibition at Galleria Halmetoja.

Mikko Ängeslevä (b. 1982) graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2024 and previously studied at the Kankaanpää Art School. His works are included, among others, in the Päivi and Paavo Lipponen Foundation collection, which forms part of the Finnish National Gallery collection at Kiasma.

The exhibition has been supported by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland.
