Stupid heart
Emmi Kallio paints seemingly abstract paintings with strong cultural and historical references. The theme of the new exhibition is opera, and the paintings transport the viewer from scene to scene and mood to mood. The arresting colour palette is more starkly painted than before, but Kallio’s hand is still full of nuance.
