“Russia, Russia, Russia” is an exhibition about ideology, power and history. The Soviet Union, Russia and Ukraine are the current themes of Kimmo Sarje’s montage exhibition. Both new and older works on the same themes have been curated for the exhibition. Kimmo Sarje has been dealing with Russian art and politics in his work for four decades. One of the newest series of works in the exhibition deals with life in Odessa, a historic cultural city on the Black Sea coast. It is a poetic counterweight to Putin’s political montages critical of Russia.
