Furry Darlings

Laura Kärki builds an anarchistic world where the antics of fantastical creatures and bold posing turn solemn expressions into cheeky grins. The octopus-dad, punk parrot, and freedom-seeking bunny take shape as both cartoon-like tufted works and expressively sculptural forms. This is the first solo exhibition at Galleria Halmetoja by Laura Kärki, who lives and works in Berlin. Her previous solo show in Helsinki was held at ARTag Gallery.
