It’s in the Paint Dummy

Kimi Pakarinen’s paintings have an existing starting point. Yet their own reality is an applied colour on the surface of the canvas. It is just as real as it looks: a colour composition that can be hung on the wall. The abstract expressionism of the paintings is timeless, but the sincere painting feels necessary right now.
